Being Sansa in severe danger, Ned takes a fatal decision. Catelyn arrives to an agreement with disgusting Frey, while Jon doubts if he has to go by Robb's side or stay at the Wall with the other men of the Night's Watch. The only men who seem to be in a better situation are Tyrion and Bronn, giving us a couple of funny moments.
Baelor is the penultimate episode from Game of Thrones season 1 and one of the most important chapters so far as it makes a clear statement about what's coming in the future: in this constant between the kingdoms no one is safe.
Stark and Lannister families are definitely facing each other on a real combat, so each family has its own strategy to find allies. While the Starks negotiate with Walder Frey, Tyrion will ask someone unexpected for support. On the other hand, Drogo, the Dothraki king, has suffered from and accident and his life is now in danger.
Finally, Ned tries to go back on his declarations about the Lannister conspiracy but nothing is enough to make Joffrey merciful: the king decapitates Ned in front of her two children Arya (in the crowd) and Sansa.
Interesting facts: "Baelor" is the title of the episode after the name of one of the most famous Targaryen kings. In the books, Shae is originally from Westeros, but this was changed in the series due to the actress accent. Finally, the drink-game played by Shae, Bronn and Tyrion is a way to get to know a little more about the characters.
